Israel James McKinney

Hello there! I’m Israel James McKinney, and I’m honored to step forward as your advocate for Tacoma City Council District 4. My journey has been rich and varied, having served in the Air Force Reserves, and honed invaluable skills at Boeing and Xfinity. Currently, I dedicate my efforts to public service with the Department of Social and Health Services, bringing vital improvements to our community. 

With a Bachelor of Arts from The Evergreen State College, I am deeply committed to educational advancement and social equity. Anchored in my belief that all individuals hold intrinsic value, I’ve actively engaged in community programs with the Boys & Girls Club, AmeriCorps, and Vision Youth. My experiences have fuelled my passion for fostering a robust, inclusive Tacoma where every citizen feels valued. Together, let's make pragmatic changes and build a resilient city that thrives on cultural diversity and shared strengths. I look forward to working alongside each of you to advance our common goals.
